At a 250-foot drop, Union Falls is Yellowstone’s 2nd highest waterfall. The waterfall gets its name from the joining of 2 rivers at the edge. Union Falls does offer visitors a challenge as it is a 7-mile hike to the falls. But it is all worth it in the end to see this amazingly beautiful and wide cascading waterfall.

Lower Yellowstone River Falls

When you think of amazing waterfalls in Yellowstone, the Lower Yellowstone River Falls probably comes to mind. This 308-foot waterfall offers breathtaking views at the top of the trail. At double the size of Niagara Falls, just imagine the thundering sound of the water crashing down. One of the many ways to view the falls is from Lookout Point. Once you park, there is a paved path leading to the viewing location. Because of its popularity, this is another waterfall that tends to get very crowded.
