Boiling River in Yellowstone National Park

Where the cool Gardner River meets the Boiling River Hot Springs, there’s a little stretch of warm water where people are allowed to soak in what is arguably our nation’s most famous National Park. There are lots of restrictions, so please be sure to read all the fine print carefully to make sure you are within the law! Know before you go as well – the Boiling River is often closed in times of high, treacherous water, so check before you leave!

Granite Hot Springs in Bridger-Teton National Forest

Granite Hot Springs is open almost year round, closing only during the early spring and fall. If a warm soak surrounded by snow-covered trees is your idea of relaxation, Granite Hot Springs is the place for you! Close to Jackson, Granite Hot Springs has several rules as well. There are bathrooms close by and there is a fee charged to soak in the springs.

Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone National Park

Mammoth Hot Springs is an incredible sight to see! You can clearly see the levels of limestone causing amazing colors and natural sculptures. You can’t soak in the Mammoth Hot Springs, but don’t let that deter you from making the trek to see it. The rugged and dangerous beauty is worth the trip!

Follow the Rules so Everyone Stays Safe

There are always a few things to be aware of when planning a visit to one of our famous hot springs. There are no lifeguards around, so please be extra vigilant to keep an eye on everyone in your party. If the water or current appears to be moving fast, please be safe and stay out of the water. If nothing else, all of our hot springs are beautiful to behold, so even if a warm soak isn’t feasible, the views are worth the effort to get there!
